At that time, they changes schools together and graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle. Three days after graduation they were married. They happy couple enjoyed 62 years of marriage. Beatrice's husband, Norton, passed away four years ago. She is survived by her three beloved children, sons Creighton (Helen), Kevin (Jeri), and daughter Vallery (Todd), six grandchildren, Evan (Jessie), Corrine (Ellen), Alison and Dustin, Lauren and Shannon, as well as two great-grandsons, Ethan and Colin, and two step-grandsons Andrew and Brendan. Beatrice completed a master's degree in social work from Portland State University. She spent her entire career in social work at Oregon Health Sciences University working primarily in the pediatric department. Bea felt her greatest happiness was raising her three children with her husband, and living to see them happily married with families and careers they love. One of her greatest joys in life was spending many wonderful years visiting, then living on their waterfront property at Hood Canal, Wash., which became a special gathering place for all her family and many friends. Bea loved to travel, and she and her family took many international trips throughout their lives. Beatrice was a loving, generous, and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was equally loved by all the lives she touched. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
