Edward Hager was born in Portland, Oregon on July 2, 1931 to Stewart and Louise Hager. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1949 and while attending school, he was part of the rally squad coined the "Yell Kings." After high school, Ed joined the United States Air Guard. For the Air Guard, he packed and mended parachutes for F-4s and F-5s. Ed was later discharged from the Air Guard due to open heart surgery. Edward Hager was born in Portland, Oregon on July 2, 1931 to Stewart and Louise Hager. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1949 and while attending school, he was part of the rally squad coined the "Yell Kings." After high school, Ed joined the United States Air Guard. For the Air Guard, he packed and mended parachutes for F-4s and F-5s. Ed was later discharged from the Air Guard due to open heart surgery. His first job was at Simpson Logging, working the graveyard shift. Ed was also a very skilled carpenter and enjoyed assisting his family and friends in remodeling their homes. Ed enjoyed several different hobbies, including airshows, going to the racetrack, camping, and had a vast interest in cars. Ed is survived by his brother George Hager and children, Sue Bradley, Sandra Beck (Keith), Tracy Hager (Lisa Gregory), Bill Murray (Amy), and Kevin Murray (Julie). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sarah Bradley, Travis Bradley, Whitney Murray and Chelsea Murray and great-grandchildren, Maclain Culp and Cecilia Culp. Ed is preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Lou Hager.
